Hello beloved friends, fans, and newcomers!!
I know you all haven't heard from me in a while and I apologize for that. Last time I updated, I mentioned how I was in queue for the print company that I was waiting for at the end of the year.
Well, during the time that I was waiting I took a long hard look at what I've done with the second volume. And after a lot of thinking and agonizing I made a tough decision. I decided to push back the release date in order to enhance the book. What do I mean by enhance, you might ask? Here, I'll show you some examples:
I realized that some of the art was not consistent between the beginning and the end of the book, because as I worked on the book my artistic skills have increased. So as you can see from the examples, I 've been going back and actually redrawing some of the frames from scratch that were either rushed or just not drawn well.
In some cases I've completely redesigned characters in order to make them more visually appealing and breathe more life into them (as you see from the second example). Along with these changes, I've been working on adding some new scenes to the book as well. So the book will now have 20 pages more than originally planned (which is basically another chapter's worth).
Waiting sucks, and the wait has been longer than anticipated. But I am hoping that with these changes and improvements, I can make your wait more than worth while.
On the main page of the site you can now see the list of the amazing people who helped fund volume 2 through Kickstarter! *round of applause*
If you want to join the mailing list for volume 2 and reserve a preorder spot, please follow the instructions on the other blog post. I know I set the cut off time to January 14th, but I realize I should just leave it open until the book comes out.
Also this year I am hoping to attend a lot of conventions in order to spread the word about Orange Crows and promote the second volume when it is released. If you want to meet me then please come to one of these conventions listed!
